MODELıng
Zero Reef is a research domain dedicated to studying the marine ecosystem surrounding Bozcaada, including coral reefs, seagrass meadows, and underwater life. It conducts conservation-focused research on marine biodiversity and transforms the knowledge gained into artistic and scientific projects, aiming to enhance environmental awareness.
Objective: To protect the marine ecosystem around Bozcaada, highlight the significance of coral reefs and seagrass meadows, and raise awareness about their conservation.
Scope: Research on marine biodiversity, mapping coral reefs, assessing the status of seagrass meadows, and documenting underwater life. The collection and recycling of underwater waste, repurposing these materials for artistic and functional projects.
Observation: Conducting on-site studies of the marine ecosystem, coral reefs, and seagrass meadows; analyzing the sources and impacts of underwater waste.
Experimentation: Testing conservation methods for coral reefs and seagrass meadows; repurposing underwater waste for use in artistic and scientific projects.
Modeling: Developing sustainable projects and environmental strategies based on data collected from coral reef and seagrass conservation efforts, as well as underwater waste management initiatives.
