Emre Gökçen

Emre Gökcen, one of Turkey’s pioneering recreation specialists, has developed a vision as a new-generation entrepreneur and experience designer, advocating for innovation and experimentation in urban arts while favoring direct and effective communication. Drawing inspiration from interactions in the streets of cities worldwide, he has shaped these influences in his own style, introducing new aesthetic concepts into art and events.

After working for many years as an event manager for concerts, theater productions, festivals, and brand launches in Istanbul, he established his own company and collaborated with numerous prominent national and international artists and performance groups. During his partnership at Thé Hall Istanbul, he brought together various brands through unique projects and later launched Role Street, an alternative venue concept.

As one of the founders of The Urban Arts, an interdisciplinary collective dedicated to revitalizing cities through art, Gökcen organized process-oriented exhibitions and conducted research on a Community-Based Local Development Model in a neighborhood in İzmir.

More recently, through the Zero Movement initiative in Bozcaada, he has been developing projects focused on social change, transformation, and livability. His work integrates local knowledge, art, and science into a collective movement promoting sustainable living practices in harmony with nature. As the creative director of Old Town Festival Antalya and Impact Video Festival, Gökcen is now actively preparing for Bozcaada Gathering, a convergence of art, science, movement, and experience.
