Bozcaada ArchIve ExperIment 2024

This practice is an experimental process aimed at archiving Bozcaada’s realities through symbols, maps, and totems. As part of Zero Gathering in September 2024, it was presented through a one-week-long performance and a public space exhibition, engaging participants and visitors.

The experiment traces the dialogue between thoughts, exploring the concepts of situatedness and recollection in relation to geography.

Observations and findings from research conducted on the island were examined collectively with participants during the performance process and later transformed into visual productions by the artists.

In 2025, the archive experiment will continue evolving, moving across concepts and disciplines to create new spaces for dialogue. It will expand by further exploring experimental and collective archiving methods, adapting to different forms of interaction and artistic expression.
