Create Your Own Museum

As part of Zero Gathering, the workshop titled “Create Your Own Museum” was held with the participation of Neslihan Varol, Director of Education and Social Projects at Istanbul Modern Art Museum. This event brought together young people from Bozcaada to explore the concept of museums in depth.

During the workshop, participants engaged in discussions about words, representations, artistic productions, and the functions of museums. The young attendees worked as museum professionals, developing unique museum concepts for Bozcaada. The museum design process focused on themes specific to the island’s culture, leading to diverse perspectives and creative ideas.

This program enhanced participants’ awareness of the museum concept and contributed to their artistic and critical thinking skills. It also provided a learning environment where young people could explore Bozcaada’s historical and cultural values.
