Bozcaada’s famous winds—this time, the Lodos—became a source of inspiration. After the Poyraz winds subsided, we examined the materials that Lodos had carried ashore and took action. Together with artist Barış Muratoğlu, we conducted a meaningful workshop with high school students.
During the workshop, students listened to the upcycling story of Utopia Bozcaada while using driftwood brought in by the Lodos to create a collective artwork. This process became a perfect example of how recycling and creativity can come together.
The experience not only helped students connect with nature’s power but also encouraged them to develop sustainable thinking skills. The stories carried by the Lodos winds were transformed into artworks in Bozcaada.
