Coastal Cleanup
As part of Zero Gathering, a coastal cleanup event titled “Welcome to the World of Discarded Objects – 2” was organized under Zero Lab, one of the research branches of Zero Movement. This event focused on cleaning Tuzburnu Bay, Beylik Bay, and Ayana Bay in Bozcaada.
During the cleanup, various types of waste were collected, including debris washed ashore by strong winds and litter left behind by visitors. This initiative was carried out with the support of the local community, Bozcaada Municipality, and the Bozcaada District Governor’s Office, aiming to raise environmental awareness and promote the preservation of nature.
The coastal cleanup event sought to reduce the environmental damage caused by waste from both land and sea. The collected waste was properly disposed of or integrated into recycling processes.
