Performance Research explores individual and collective forms of expression through stage, space, and movement. It aims to generate social awareness by conducting innovative research in disciplines such as staging, movement, and music. By integrating the theoretical and practical dimensions of performance, it develops projects that transform audiences into active participants. Additionally, it interprets local narratives through performance arts, preserving cultural memory and fostering new modes of expression.
Objective: To harness the potential of performance arts in creating social narratives, transmitting cultural stories to future generations, and discovering new forms of expression.
Scope: It encompasses a broad range of disciplines, including dance, theater, and music, as well as site-specific installations and movement-based performances. The research focuses on the reinterpretation of local narratives through artistic forms, interactive performances in public spaces, and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Observation: Examining how local cultural practices, stories, and rituals can be reflected in performance arts.
Experimentation: Investigating the relationship between space, audience, and narrative using the concept of “situatedness” in performance arts; designing interactive performances that enhance audience participation.
Modeling: Designing performances based on collected data to promote social awareness and engagement.
“Exploring new expressions where movement, narrative, and culture intersect with research.”
